Novato Veterinary House Calls is proud to serve Sonoma, CA and surrounding areas. We are dedicated to providing high-level veterinary care to your animals wherever they might be, along with friendly, compassionate service.
We understand how stressful a visit to the vet can be for animals, which is why we aim to treat your pets where they are most comfortable: at home. This becomes especially important when pets reach the ends of their lives and euthanasia is required. Our goal in these cases is to provide you and your pets with a dignified farewell in a comfortable place.

Welcoming New Clients
We are always happy to take on new clients, and our flexible scheduling means that we can usually make it out to you and your pet within 24-48 hours. We emphasize to our clients that if you have a pet emergency, we will typically refer you to a veterinary hospital where they can provide the immediate care those situations require.

Meet Our Doctor
Dr. Ken Bacon graduated with honors from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Having grown up in the town of Hendersonville in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Ken was eager to explore other parts of the country. He came to California that summer and has never left!
He opened his own practice, Central Marin Cat and Exotic Hospital, in 1995 in San Rafael, and sold it in 2019.
Since then Ken has enjoyed helping in other practices in the North Bay using his extensive experience in cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, rabbits, rodents, and amphibians. Ken is pleased to be working with the talented doctors and staff at California Pet Hospital. He has recently married another veterinarian, Dr. Sandy Lester, and is the proud father of five children, three of them human, Kendrick, Annalisa, and Genevieve, as well as two furries, named Sierra, a lab mix, and Kiki, a tripod calico cat.
